COMMERCIAL BUILDING
This outstanding 60x80 log cabin structure was built in 1998. The business closed its doors in January 2008, the city of New Rockford and surrounding communities are waiting for the day that it will open again for business as the city has a desire for additional food services businesses. The location is ideal as it sits on a frontage road that adjoins US Highway 281. There is an abundance of parking for not only cars but larger vehicles such as campers and trucks should be able to utilize the space.
The large dining room is spacious with booths and tables as well; the area is surrounded by smoked glass windows to allow for an abundance of light while shielding the direct sunlight. The dining area has a large sliding accordion style divider which allows you to have private meetings or training sessions without interference from other customers, with seating for about fifty (50) people. There are tables and chairs in this area that could be set up to meet the needs of your meeting. There used to be an spot near the meeting room that had been a serving area for beverages which is now used as a location for food serving. When the building was built the estimated seating capacity would have been about 120 people, with the remodeling of the front restaurant section of the building in 2004 that may have been somewhat reduced, at that time the portion was converted to a well designed Sports Bar.
The Sports Bar was designed with the front eating portion of the building being taken over for the new purpose, this was completed in 2004. There is seating at the actual bar with space for about 13 bar stools there are a number of tables and chairs. as well as two booths. There are three (3) wall mounted flat screen televisions for the sports crowd, there is also a large drop down screen over the front of the bar with a ceiling mounted projector that can be used for those special sporting events which may involve area sports teams. The bar has 3 Touch Screen computers for their Point of Sales system (POS) to take care of bar orders as well as restaurant items, what a good way to keep track of every item that goes through the business, only a finger touch away.
The well designed kitchen has an abundance of grills, stove stops, convection ovens, as well as broasters and deep fryers. There is a large walk in freezer and another walk-in cooler. There is kitchen equipment that was new in 1998 when the business was built and there are a number of kitchen appliances that have been added within the past couple of years and are just like new. The kitchen appliances have been always well kept and in top notch working order. The work areas are stainless steel for ease in operation and the ability to always meet health department standards. The Ansil system meets all fire and safety standards.
The building has natural gas (Montana Dakota Utilities MDU) for its heat source, the owners added insulation the last year of operation which should certainly help with the efficiency of operation, the heating and cooling are all from the ceiling as the building is sitting on a concrete slab. The central air and heating system are located on the roof of the building. The baths are handicapped accessible with handicapped access from the outside as well. If you’re the one in charge there is a convenient office space to take care of all the personal business of items that you will need to do. The parking lot is hard concrete with the exception of the farther out portion of the parking lot which is gravel.
You have to see this building to really appreciate it as it was built with nothing but “Quality” in mind!
