BOWLING ALLEY

The bowling alley a 48x139 block building was built in 1960 with the present owner operating Wonder Lanes for the past 46 years.  The equipment and lanes have been kept in immaculate condition; the place is clean, bright and refreshing.  It has been and still is the site for a number of various tournaments.

The bowling season has just started for the new season, league bowling does not run into the summer months however there is open bowling throughout the year.  Right now there are leagues on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday as well as youth bowling leagues on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school.  The average number of bowlers in the youth league is between 75-100 bowlers.

The alleys have always been kept to the top of all standards as the scores will dictate as there have been a number of 300 games bowled on the lanes.

The scoring system was replaced a number of years back with “Magic Score” which is an automatic scoring system, this certainly was a great benefit especially with the youth bowling.  Another addition was the gutter bumpers which certainly makes it family friendly, the grandchildren will never throw a gutter ball with the bumpers pulled out.

Many years ago when the owner was new in the business they had a café in the building, since then that was taken out and there have been a number of video games installed in that area, the owner of Wonder Lanes owns the pool table.

They have a license to sell beer and wine coolers; this has been a real nice income producing addition.

The building is heated with a forced air furnace which operates on Natural Gas.   The building is located on a nice corner lot with plenty of room around it for parking and viability.  After 46 years the owner is ready for a vacation and is ready to turn the keys over to a new owner.  The equipment is older but has been well maintained.  When something needed replacing it was done.  Right now the owner just replaced a lane oiling machine.  There are storage lockers for individuals to store their bowling ball, bag and shoes along with an abundance of balls for those who do not own their own bowling ball as well as having plenty of shoes to rent.

If you have ever looked at bowling lanes you may not find a nicer, cleaner and well kept establishment.  The owner would be more than happy to work with a new owner to see that they were moving forward.
